In one of my earlier posts, I mentioned that I have two runs coming up this season. The first, a 10K, is coming up in 2-and-a-half weeks! Time really snuck up on me. The next one is a half-marathon (21K), and that’s in 4-and-a-half weeks. I must say, I have a lot of prep work to do. The weather has taken such a long time to pick up, so I’m only now running outside. And when I do run outside, I use my trusty companion, my Nike+ app on my iPhone. This app keeps track of my time, distance, speed, “feelings” … everything when I’m running. I’ve been using it for about a year. Thus far, I’ve reached 157 kilometres. Not bad, I suppose, but I need to up it. I told myself that I’d do at least 3 runs per week, but the chilly temperatures keep my inside. Things look like they’re picking up though. I think I’ll be able to squeeze in 40 kilometres before my race. I’ll keep you posted … and I mean it this time!
